Hm. So this isn't just a test... The chimera are still above ground, and now they have been joined by the monsters that were previously stationed in the hospital. I am going to have to make a few massive revisions to my data...

Given the current reports that have been coming in, it seems like this incident has spelled out the deaths for a number of people. For those who have lost loved ones, you have my condolences. However, the number of injured scattered around the city seems to be increasing, and this is leaving us with fewer fighters that could be used to protect the city. Not such a good situation.

It seems that the chimera have already taken advantage of what resources we had, including the solar panels on Latimir, the generator within Marshall and the auto shop in the high school. I am uncertain as to whether these beasts are able to be controlled, but these actions seem planned. I don't think I have to remind anyone that, in addition to protecting ourselves, we should try to salvage what materials that we can. It will help everyone when we need to rebuild. ...Hn. I never thought that I'd imagine such a thing for this ruined city.

As for me, I am still inside of Horton, quietly observing things. If I am forced to escape from here, then I will not hesitate to do so. There's no glory in dying when you are unarmed. Though if there is anyone in the area who is in need of help, then I may be able to lend some assistance. I am able to apply first aid for any who are injured and brought to me.


Ness, what is your status? Are you and your friends all right?


Have you been able to learn anything about further about the situation outside? What kind of abilities do the chimera possess, and do they have any sort of extra intelligence? I am considering a theory...

There appear to be new monsters out on the streets. They are the ones who previously resided in the hospital, and so I would advise you to take care. Only do what you need to, Sai. I would not wish for you to be killed.

Only the larger ones seem to be the ones of intelligence. I have yet to see any abilities other then the strength and reason that they seem to possess. Do not worry, I won't let them near our home.

Hmm... I see. I wonder if they were programmed with any sort of intelligence initially, or convinced that the city's resources were something worth attacking, then we might have something. Food I can understand, but... I will have to consider this more thoroughly. And I will be counting on you to do that, Sai.

Hmph. Give them something extra for the gash one of them put in my shoulder, if you would, Sai.

What should I be keeping my eyes keen for as in materials?
Mostly of what I see now on these abandoned streets are only corpses.

That is regrettable... If you are sentimental, then see that the bodies are moved to a safe place. It would do no good for their loved ones to see them that way, or the chimera if they are looking for a simple meal.

In terms of materials, if you can fight, then search for anything that can be salvaged. Food, medicine, weapons... anything that will ensure the survival of the others. There will be a great need for things like that when this is all over.

I'm..alive. Just exhausted. I don't know how long I could keep up trying to protect everything. If it wasn't for Stan... I haven't seen or heard from Jeff, I can only pray he's ok.. Paula and Poo are together, and both have their PSI. So I'm not terribly worried, since they can defend themselves.

Good. Try not to overexert yourself, Ness. There is only so much that a young boy like you can do, even with the benefit of powers like yours. Just try to do what you can, and get yourself to a safe place.

I've tried to retreat to a little corner to catch my breath and get some sleep, but it'll only be a matter of time before someone else is hurt or needs help and I have to go back out again.. I'm already fighting crippled without a Baseball Bat.

Hm. I understand... If you are ever near the Horton Apartments and find any who are injured, try to bring them down to the lobby and I will apply first aid until things have calmed down and they are able to see a proper doctor. And it is good to know that you are pacing yourself, in any case.

Sai is outside, hunting down the chimera. I believe that he wished to test out his powers. I am not so worried about him. He has the ability to regenerate. As for me, I am quietly observing the situation from Horton for now, but I will move on if it looks like the monsters are heading this way.

I live on the fifth floor, which gives me a nice view of what is going on outside. The "quiet" is a stretch of the truth, just as long as no other explosions choose to occur in the near future...
