So Mr. Summers life was taken. He was killed, to be more accurate. But for what purpose?

Hm. He was not someone who I was entirely familiar with, but I found his opinions of this experiment interesting just the same. It is a shame that I could not have been more familiar with him before his mind was overtaken by madness, or... was it rage?

In the end, he was the one who managed to stop the wheels from turning, causing the balance to become upset as a result. Everyone suffered on all sides between the teams sent out, the dwindling supplies and the apparent sealing off of the lake.

Perhaps the only thing controlling this city is chaos.

Now a trump card has been played by their hand in order to have that girl, Lolita, returned to their hands. As I have no powers of my own, I can suffer nothing from this choice. But it does beg the question of which side is really the one with more strength in this situation.

Human beings are so amusing. Sometimes it is fun to watch them all as they try to surpass their own natural limitations. A futile effort.

Even though I wasn't able to find any more answers to the question of why these disappearances keep occurring from others, I think that I am still going to continue try to investigate this matter myself. It might turn up something interesting. Still, it seems like the list of names of those who have gone missing is steadily increasing. I wonder what sort of reactions have tried to rock the boat this time.

As for the recent murder... I have no reason to feel overly concerned about it, as many of you have. In my world, murders are committed almost worldwide, everyday. Lives are taken without remorse by criminals who have their own grievances and vendettas, and all that comes out of it is a case file and blurb on the national news. That is all. No rioting, no blood lust. Any show of that level of raw human emotion would only get you thrown in jail, and make you no better than the ones who committed the crime in the first place. Though it was amusing to see how the lawlessness of Discedo would drive people to such acts. It just goes to show that what HAL tried to do before was not fruitless, and that almost everyone is capable of being a criminal whether they realize it or not.

In the meantime, I would like to know who would be able to provide me with some medicine for things like stomach irritation or fevers. I don't believe that I will not much, since I'm sure the needs of the city over weigh my own in terms of supplies. I only wish to have enough in case something like this happens again.

Sai, try not to do something so reckless again. Some experimentation is good here and here, but this is the worst place that you can get sick in, as I'm sure you're already aware.

Hm. It seems that we have had a lot of visitors lately, too. Perhaps I should try to be a little more outgoing to keep up with the pace...
