Dead and disappeared, a presence that cannot be seen...

[The sound of a large blanket being tossed into the air can be heard, before being shifted and tucked in several places. The sound of someone sleeping nearby can be heard as the communicator is held close to him... It sounds like Sonic the Hedgehog, for those who know the sound of his voice well enough.]

[There is silence, and then Ai takes a few steps away before finally choosing to speak.]

I have returned. There was something that I needed to take care of.

I have retrieved Sonic from the Latimir Street. He wasn't far from the apartment building when I found him, but he looked weak and was obviously still in a state of shock.

Right now, he is in the lobby of the Horton Lane apartment building. He is resting on the couch here, and I would ask that no one try to disturb him until he is able to wake up on his own. It would be for the best.

However, he did ask me to relay a message. He wanted his friends to know that he is okay, and I have no reason to believe otherwise. He may look like he is in a bad state, but he's actually trying to remain strong. If anyone should choose to talk to him later, then I would ask that you respect his feelings.

I will remain here and watch over him for as long as I can. But I need to return to my own apartment soon. For anyone who wishes to visit him, I would ask that they try to bring something for him to eat when he wakes up and try to avoid talking about recent events. He will likely be very hungry after he wakes up.

Dr. Stein. It was my intention to get in touch with you over a present issue, but given the circumstances... I feel that it would be best for you to focus on Latimir. I should be capable enough to handle this on my own.

I was going to try to head to head to the store in order to retrieve some supplies this morning, but now I am going to hold off seeing as how those terrible beasts are prowling outside. Does it have anything to do with that roar that was heard several days ago...? It seems that a lot of terrible things seem to live underneath the city streets. It kind of makes one feel a little uneasy.

Sai has been recovering from his injuries, and that has given me time to think. There is something important that I must do soon, and it makes me feel both very anxious and hopeful for what may lie ahead. I just hope that everything is able to go smoothly, and that neither of our lives are placed in danger. - I have also been given the opportunity to see who my allies and enemies are in something of an experiment. The lines are not drawn so clear, but I have been able to learn a lot in the process.

Hopefully, all will become clear with time.
