So Mr. Summers life was taken. He was killed, to be more accurate. But for what purpose?

Hm. He was not someone who I was entirely familiar with, but I found his opinions of this experiment interesting just the same. It is a shame that I could not have been more familiar with him before his mind was overtaken by madness, or... was it rage?

In the end, he was the one who managed to stop the wheels from turning, causing the balance to become upset as a result. Everyone suffered on all sides between the teams sent out, the dwindling supplies and the apparent sealing off of the lake.

Perhaps the only thing controlling this city is chaos.

Now a trump card has been played by their hand in order to have that girl, Lolita, returned to their hands. As I have no powers of my own, I can suffer nothing from this choice. But it does beg the question of which side is really the one with more strength in this situation.

Even with that in place, I am almost certain that you had the potential to bring everything to a proper end. There would have been no need for these senseless arguements until a consensus was finally reached.
I am aware of the power that you possess, even if I am not able to fully understand it. I have the data. If not in my hands then at least in my memory. I trust that. Because it has become vitally important in terms of my existence.

That you have become quiet now can only mean that, like the others, this city has removed you. The balance is changing again.

[Sighs] This city goes from one extreme to the next... It is hardly surprising anymore.

After the changes took place in my own body, I was beginning to think that the scientists were the ones responsible. I was careless... Water is such an essential ingredient in my cooking these days. But I can see now that they are not the ones to blame this time. If they were, then I'd be very interested in what they were hoping to accomplish with this experiment. The effects of animal characteristics on the human body? I wonder where they would be able to obtain the animal DNA to start with in the middle of this wasteland.

I guess there is no point in thinking about that now. The culprit has already made himself known, and I am interested to know how he was able to contaminate the water supply for all of the areas affected. However, I think the greater priority is trying to isolate the ingredient that is causing all these changes and try to develop a cure.

...and if a few of you are curious as to why I am being so calm about this, it is only because I had a feeling that something like this would happen. Just an idea that lacks evidence. I hope that the rest of you are able to put your minds to work for you, because I will not make a fool of myself in the event that I'm wrong. That, and I'm actually quite annoyed, I cannot read or examine the data I have collected this way. Paper is scarce, and I don't wish to puncture it with my claws.

Horizon Park... That is what that boy called this place, right? It hardly seems to fit the image that I used to have of the parks in the city.
I have learned much since I arrived here, using this device. This is no longer the world I once knew, but the one I am searching for is here. That is enough for me to understand. I only hope that he is all right... The effects of this world, and those blades... I must keep trying to find him.
