The reason his DNA is unstable is because his cellular structure is constantly changing. Sai lacks an identity of his own, and so his body is always transforming until he is able to discover his true self... who he really is on the inside.

He can no longer recall any part of himself or his past, not even in his deepest subconsciousness. This is a symptom that he has been experiencing even from the moment I met him.

That is a good suggestion, Dr. Tam. I will be sure to bring it up with him. Though I believe that he has avoided the idea previously because he felt it would be "boring," and doesn't realize how it can help him until it is already too late. The recorded conversations, however, is something I will keep in mind and try to store for later use. I believe it will be beneficial to helping him create new memories.

The initial symptoms can begin as early as a month prior to the time his memory is completely erased. They occur in the form of occasional headaches, or pain similar to a full-blown migraine. ...The closer he is to that appointed time, the shorter the distance between the frequency of these symptoms and the more severe they become.
